DC Health Link

Filnet developed the initial website for the DC health insurance marketplace (DC Health Link), one of the few state-run health exchanges to open on-time during the ACA's first mandated open enrollment on October 2013. We created an integrated and seamless user experience across multiple software platforms for a diverse audience including individual citizens, small businesses, brokers, assisters, insurers, administrators and case workers. We custom developed several easy-to-use calculators to help users determine eligibility for tax credits and determine if they may be eligible for Medicaid. Filnet also made the website fully responsive and mobile friendly. Since February 2017, over 300,000 customers have enrolled for health coverage through the website. In October 2018, the DC Health Link website received the highest overall score for user experience and usability by the Council for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC).
